An object starting from rest undergoes an acceleration of 8m/s2 for 10second find the (a) speed (b) distance travelled.

Let the speed after 10 seconds be v.

Let the distance traveled after 10 s be s.

Initial speed = 0 m/s

a) v = 0 + a × t

v = 8 × 10

v = 80 m/s

Hence, the final speed after 10 s is 80 m/s

b) \( s = 0 + \frac{1}{2} \times 8 \times 10^2\)

s = 4 × 100

s = 400 m

Hence, the distance traveled in 10 seconds is 400 m.
