An object starts from rest. It travels with a uniform acceleration and in 8th second it travels 95 metres. Find its acceleration......

Given,

intial velocity (u) = 0m/sec

distance (s) = 95 metre

Time (t) = 8 sec

acceleration (a) = ?

we know that ,

S = ut + 1/2 at^2

95 = 0*8 + 1/2 *a*(8)^2

95 = 0 + 1/2 * a * 64

95 = 32 a

acceleration = 95/32

acceleration = 2.96 m/sec^2

Acceleration : ?

To find acceleration :
WE use second EQUATION of motion :

s \:  = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}

95 = 0×8+1/2 a × 8^2
95 = 0 + 1/2a ×64
95= 32a

95= 32 a
95 = 32 a
a = 95/32
a = 2.96 m/sec^2
