An object starts from rest with an acceleration of 10 m/s. How far does it go in 0.5 s? What is its velocity after 0.5s?

final velocity= initial velocity+(acceleration×time)
initial velocity is zero since the object was at rest
final velocity=0+(0.5×10)
=5m per second
distance travelled = (initial velocity×time)+(1/2 ×acceleration ×time×time)
(0×0.5)+(1/2× 10×0.5×0.5)
=1.125 m
