First equation of motion- v=at

Second equation of motion- s=1/2 a t(square)

Third equation of motion- v squared= 2as

  • let it be 1-D motion then the equation is,

x_{final} = x_{initial} + v_{initial} ( t) + (1/2)  (a)t ^2

  • here is the,

             x is the position coordinate,

             v is velocity,

             t is time,

           and a is acceleration.

  • The equation for an object which starts from rest is  v_{i}  o, o(t)  is just 0.

  • So the equation you ask for is

        x_{final} = x_{initial} + (1/2) (a)t ^2

answer= x_{f}=x_{i}+\frac{1}{2} (a)(t^{2})
