An object takes 5s to reach the
ground from a height of 5m on a
planet. What is the value of g on
the planet?​

t = 5s

D = 5m

u = 0

a = (v-u)/t

= v/5 ----> i

now D = ut + ½at²

=> 5 = ½a25

=> 10 = 25a

=> a = 10/25 -----> ii

therefore v/5 = 10/25

=> v = 10/25 × 5

=> v = 2m/s

therefore, a or g = v/5 (from i)

= 2/5

= 0.4m/s²
