Answer:

The image is located 0.6125 m from the mirror.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Height of object (h) = 0.4meter.

Between the object and mirror

Distance (u) = -0.7 meter

Image Height=0.35 meter.

Image Distance=?

Step 1:

Using the formula

Magnificent = -v/u

Magnificent = Height of image / Height of object = hi/h0

hi/h0 = -v/u

Step 2:

Substitute the u  value in above equation.

As we know v= -0.7.

0.35/0.4= -v / - 0.7

On RHS NR and Dr negative sign gets cancelled.

Step 3:

V= (0.35 x 0.7) / 4

V = (35 x 7 x 10) / (4 x 100 x 10)

V = 245/(4 x 100)

V = 6.125/100

V = 0.6125 meter.

So option B is correct.
