AN OBJECT THAT IS PLACED IN WATER ,THE TWO FORCES FB AND WB ARE ACTING ON AN OBJECT, WHOSE MAGNITUDE (VALUES) ARE 5 N AND 10 N RESPECTIVELY. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

(a) NAME THESE FORCES FB AND WB THAT ARE ACTING ON AN OBJECT WHEN PLACED IN WATER.

(b)CALCULATE THE VALUE OF NET FORCE AND PREDICT WHETHER IT IS BALANCED OR NOT. JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWER.

(c) ALSO TELL WHETHER THE OBJECT WILL FLOAT OR SINK IN WATER. JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWER. ​

Fb=buoyancy force=5N

Wb=weight of the body=10N

The net force=10-5=5N

The object will Sink in water as the weight is more than the buoyancy and it is a downward force.
