The velocity of the ball travelling after the point where it leaves the 10meter height is u m/s.

So, the velocity u will be g*T/2. On calculating we will get the value of u to be 50 m/s.

So, after it passes the height of 10 meter the value of velocity u1 will be u1^2 = u^2 + 2gS. So on putting the value we will get u1^2 as 2700. So u1 will be 52 m/s. Hence, now the total time of flight will be t = 2u2/g which on solving we will get time as 10.4 seconds.
