An object thrown vertically upwards reaches a height of 500 m. What was its initial velocity? How long will the object take to come back to the earth? Assume g=10 m/ s^2. please give me solution of this problem...

The initial velocity is 0
It will take 1000s

Initial velocity(u)=0
Distance(S) =500m
Acc due to gravity(g) =10
Time(t) =?
From equation..
S=ut+1/2*at*t
500=0+1/2*10*t*t
500=5*t^2
t^2=100
t=10sec
