Solution

Given,

  • an object level 16 metre in 4 second
  • another of the travel 16 metre in 2 second

To find ,

  • we have to find here the average speed of the object

We know that ,

  • to find the average speed we have to use the formula
  •   \bold{average \: speed \:  =  \frac{total \: distance \: travelled}{total \: time \: taken}}

So,

  • Total distance travelled by the object = 16 m + 16m = 32m
  • total time taken = 4s +2s = 6s

putting the value in the formula of average speed we get ;

 =  >  \frac{32 \: m}{6 \: s}

 =  > 5.33 \: m \: s ^{ - 1}

therefore the average speed of the object is 5.33m s ^ -1 .
