An object travels 40meter in 4 seconds and then 16meter In 2seconds what is the average speed of the object

avg speed= total dist/total time
=>=40+16/4+6=56/6=28/3m/s

Solution:-
Distance first (D1)=40meter
Time(T1)=4 seconds

Distance second(D2)=16meter
Time=(T2)=2seconds

Now,
Total distance=40+16
=56m
Total time=4+2
=6seconds

Since,
average \: speed =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}  \\  =  >  \frac{56}{6}  \\  =  > 9.34
Hence,
Average speed=9.34m/s
