Given :

Force of 15N acts on an object for 4s.

After that object travelled 54m in 9s.

To Find :

Mass of the object.

Solution :

❒ Force is acting on the object for first 4s it means body has acceleration during this time.

As s per newton's second law of motion;

  • F = m × a

Acceleration of object = 15/m

Final velocity of object after first 4s can be calculated by using first equation of kinematics.

➛ v = u + at

  • Initial velocity = zero

➛ v = 0 + at

➛ v = 15/m × 4

v = 60/m

After first 4s, object is moving at a constant velocity of 60/m metre per second as force is not acting on the object.

➠ velocity = distance/time

➠ 60/m = 54/9

➠ 60/m = 6

➠ m = 60/6

m = 10 kg
