an object weighs 10 N when measured on the surfaces of earth .What would be its mass on the surface of the moon??

PLZZ ANSWER WITH FULL PROCESS

meenakshi997sa: weight on Earth= forcce exerted by earth = mg= 10N. hence, m=10/g = 10/9.8 = 1.020 kg. mass always remains same may be in any part of universe.... so mass on moon will be 1.020kg. but weight on moon will change as per the value if g

W = M X g ; On earth g = 9.8 so if the object weighs 20N, its mass would be

20N = M x 9.8

or M = 20 /9.8 ~ 2.041kg

Now gravity on Moon g = 1.622, therefore the weight of the same object on Moon would be

W (on moon) = 2.041 x 1.622 = 3.3105N.

hope it helps mark as brainliest

Mass of the object is constant. it will be the same on moon. Weight of the object depends on gravity.

W = M X g ; On earth g = 9.8 so if the object weighs 20N, its mass would be

10N = M x 9.8

or M = 10 /9.8 ~ 1.0204kg

Now gravity on Moon g = 1.622, therefore the weight of the same object on Moon would be

W (on moon) = 1.0204x 1.622 = 1.6550N.
