Weight= mass × gravity. So we have weight here as 294N. So when we reverse the formula mass= weight÷ gravity. We can take gravity as g=9.8. So 294÷9.8=30. The mass is 30 kg.

Given - Weight on earth

Find - Mass on the moon

Solution - The mass of object on the moon will be 29.4 kilograms.

Mass on earth and moon will remain the same, as it does not depend on acceleration due to the gravity of the planet.

Calculating the mass of object on Earth.

Mass = Weight/acceleration due to gravity

Mass = 294/10

Mass = 29.4 kilogram

Thus, the mass of object on the moon will be 29.4 kilograms.
