The weight of the person on earth on the weighing scale shows 40kgs. Let us not confuse this with whether it is Mass or weight after pull of gravity.
Taking it as 40 kgs as in layman's terms..
The force of gravity of the moon is one -sixth of that on earth, as moon is smaller.
So 40 kgs X 1/6 = 6.67 kgs.
