Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

V = 15 L

● Explanation -

Let W be weight of object in the air.

Weight in water is -

W' = W - ρwVg

50 = W - 1×Vg

Vg = W - 50 ...(1)

Weight in liquid is -

W" = W - ρwVg

80 = W - 0.8×Vg

0.8Vg = W - 80

Vg = W/0.8 - 80/0.8

Vg = 5W/4 - 100 ...(2)

Equating (1) and (2),

W - 50 = 5W/4 - 100

5W/4 - W = 100 - 50

W/4 = 50

W = 200 N

From (1),

ρwVg = W - W'

1000 × V × 10 = 200 - 50

V = 150 / 10000

V = 0.015 m^3

V = 15 L

Hence, volume of sphere is 15 L.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
