Since we know that the variation of acceleration due to gravity above the earth surface at height h is given by

g^{'} =g\times (\dfrac{R}{R+h} )^{2}...............................(1)

We need to find the weight of the object at height R/2 from earth.

Put h=R/2 in (1) equation we get,

g^{'} =g\times (\dfrac{R}{R+\dfrac{R}{2} } )^{2}=g\times \dfrac{4}{9}

So, g^{'} = \dfrac{4}{9}\times g.................(2)

Multiply by m both sides in equation (2)

W^{'}=\dfrac{4}{9}\times W=\dfrac{4}{9}\times 72=32 N

So,weight at height of R/2 from earth is 32 N.
