Given:-

  • Mass ,m = 1200 g

  • Acceleration,a = 8m/s²

To Find:-

  • Amount of Force ,F

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the unit here

1kg = 1000g

1200g. = 1200/1000kg = 1.2kg

Force is the product of mass and acceleration.

• F = ma

Substitute the value we get

→ F = 1.2×8

→ F = 9.6N

Therefore, the amount of force acting is 9.6 Newton.

Additional Information!!

✧ Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

✧ SI unit of Force is Newton.

✧ It is denoted by N.

✧ Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

✧ Mathematical term

⟹ Force = Mass×Acceleration

• The rate of change of velocity at per unit time is called acceleration .

• SI unit of acceleration is m/s²

• It is vector Quantity ( both magnitude and direction)
