FINAL ANSWER:-

force=14.4N

GIVEN:-

object with initial velocity 4m/s got its velocity tobe 40m/s after a time of 5 seconds.

mass of the object is 2 kg

TO FIND:-

the force applied

FORMULAS USED:-

v=u+at\\F=ma

SOLUTION:-

initial velocity = 4m/s

final velocity = 40m/s

time = 5sec

first find acceleration

v=u+at\\40=4+5t\\40-4=5a\\36=5a\\a=\frac{36}{5}\\a=7.2\:m/s

now let's find force

F=ma\\F=2*7.2\\F=14.4N

Given:-

→ Initial velocity of the object = 4 m/s

→ Final velocity = 40 m/s

→ Mass of the object = 2 kg

→ Time taken = 5 seconds

To find:-

→ Magnitude of force applied.

Solution:-

By Newton's 2nd law of motion, we know that :-

F = m(v - u)/t

Where :-

• F is the force.

• m is mass of the object.

• v is final velocity.

• u is initial velocity.

• t is time taken.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ F = 2(40 - 4)/5

⇒ F = 2(36)/5

⇒ F = 72/5

⇒ F = 14.4 N

Thus, the magnitude of force applied is 14.4 N .
