An odject of mass 2 kg travelling along a straight line with a velocity of 5m/s collides with and sticks to a stationary wooden block of mass 8 kg . Then they both move off together in the same straight line. calculate the total momentum just before the impact just after the impact . Also calculate the velocity of the combined object.

the total Momentum before impact is equal to mass into velocity is equal to
2. x 5 = 10 kg m/s

when they stick together their mass becomes 10kg and mould needs to be conserved so velocity is equal to 10 by 10 equals to 1 metre per second
