Given:
Density of oil = d=1.2 x1000=1200 kg/m³
volume of oil=1litre=0.001meter cube
d=m/v
m= dxv =1200x0.001=1.2kg

Given that,

The relative density of oil is 1.2

Volume, V = 1 litre = 0.001 m³

To find,

Mass of the oil

Solution,

The density of oil is, d=1.2\times 1000\ kg/m^3=1200\ kg/m^3

Density is defined as mass per unit volume. So,

d=\dfrac{m}{V}\\\\m=d\times V\\\\m=1200\times 0.001\\\\m=1.2\ kg

So, the mass of the oil is 1.2 kg.
