auxiliary pump should be started at 2pm...

Step-by-step explanation:

time taken by auxiliary pump to empty a oil tanker into it = 8 hours

time in which tank needs to be completely emptied into the pump=10p.m.

So, 10-8=2p.m.

hence, 2P.M.is the answer.....
