An Olympic swimming pool is in the shape of cuboid of dimensions 50m. Long and 25m.wide.If it is 3my deep throughout, how many liters of water does it hold ? (1cu.m =1000 liters )

volume = l x b x h

therefore volume = 50 x 25 x 3

                             = 3750m^3

1cu.m = 1000litres

3750cu.m = 3750000litres

therefore the swimming pool can hold 3750000 litres of water
