Answer:

An onion root cell

Explanation:

If the Chromosome number in root tip cell of onion is 16, then it will have 16 chromosomes in the G1 phase, as well as after S phase, and even after M- phase. If it has 2C amount of DNA after M- phase, the DNA content at G1 phase will be 2C and after S phase and at G2 phase the amount would be 4C

In S and G2 phase phase number of chromosome would be same which is 16.

in S phase chromosome duplication occurs while DNA replication occurs therefore  amount of DNA in cell doubles while  number of chromosome remains same .

in G2 phase  no change in amount of DNA and number of chromosomes occurs therefore in this phase also number of chromosome in root cell would be 16 only.

this all is a part of

( cell cycle = The sequence of events by which a cell duplicates its genome, synthesizes the other constituents of the cell and eventually divides into two daughter cells is termed cell cycle.) [NCERT]
