and height of 7 meters. How much will it cost to
paint the curved surface and the base of the tank,

Lets take out area of curved part of cylinder whose formula= 

2\pi \: rh2πrh 

=2×22/7 ×3.5/2 m×7m

=2×22×0.5m×7m

=77m^2

Cost of painting per sq. m= Rs 5

Cost of painting 77 m^2= 77×Rs 5

= Rs 385

Area of base= 22/7×r^2

=22/7×3.5m/2×3.5m/2

=11×0.5m×1.75.

=9.625m^2

Cost of base=9.625×5

=Rs 48.1

Total cost= 385+48.1= 

Rs433.1
