Solution:-

Given: diameter= 3.5m

radius (r) = 3.5/2m

height(h) = 7m

Curved Surface Area of Cylinder

= 2πrh

= 2× 22/7× 3.5/2× 7 m^2

= 77 m^2

Area of base of tank

= πr^2

= 22/7× 3.5/2× 3.5/2

= 9.625 m^2

So,

Total area to be painted

= 77+9.625 m^2

= 86.625. m^2

Now, Rate of painting = ₹5per m^2

Therefore, Total cost of painting = ₹(5×86.625)

= ₹ 433.125

Hence, the total cost of painting is 433.125
