An open rectangular tank when measured from outside is 2.25m long,2.12m wide and 110cm deep.it is made up or iron which is 3.5m thick find the capacity of the tank and volume of iron used?

volume= 225×212×110=5247000cm^3=5.247m^3
capacity=5.247×1000 litres= 5247litres

csa+bottom area of tank
= 2×110×225+2×110×212
=49500+46640
=96140cm^2
volume= 96140×350=33649000cm^3= 33.6m^3 (approx.)
