As we know tank is in the shape of cuboid .

And, it is open tank .

So, the Total surface area [ TSA ] of open tank = Lateral surface area + area of base .

= 2( l + b )h + l × b .

= 2( 15 + 12 ) × 3 + 15 × 12 .

= 6 × 27 + 180 .

= 162 + 180 .

= 342 m² .

Thus, Total area of sheet required = 342 m² .

And, it is given : Width of sheet = 4 m.

→ Area = Length × Width .

 \begin{lgathered}\sf \implies Length = \frac{area}{width} \\ \\ \sf \implies Length = \frac{342}{4}. \\ \\ \sf \large\therefore Length = 85.5m.\end{lgathered}

Therefore, cost of sheet of length 85.5m at the rate of 22.50 per m²
 \begin{lgathered}\sf = 85.5 \times 22.50. \\ \\ \sf \huge \blue{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \underline{= Rs \: 1923.75 .}}}}\end{lgathered}

✔✔ Hence, it is solved ✅✅.

here is your answer OK ⛲⛲⛲⛲⛲⛲

Length of the tank = 15 m.

Breadth of the tank = 12 m.
Height of the tank = 3 m.
Width of the sheet = 4 m.

so...... Total surface area of open tank = Lateral surface area + area of base .

= 2( l + b )h + l × b .

= 2( 15 + 12 ) × 3 + 15 × 12 .

= 162 + 180 .

= 342 m²

And, it is given : Width of sheet = 4 m.

→ Area = Length × Width .

length = 343/4= 85.5m

cost of sheet of length 85.5m at the rate of 22.50 per m²

22.50 x 85.5 = 1923.75
