The answer is 0.5 cm
But I am getting only 1 cm

Given height of water = 13.6 cm = 0.136 m

Density of mercury = 13600 kg/m³

Density of water = 1000 kg/m³

Now from pascal law we have

P₁ =P₂

1000 × g × 0.136 = 13600×g× 2x

Here x = rise in the mercury column on the other side of the manometer.

x = (1000 × 0.136)/(2×13600)

x =0.5 m
