Dear Student,

● Answer -

8 kg ore

◆ Explanation -

Given that an ore contains 5% copper.

Let x be amount of ore required to obtain 400 g copper.

5% of x = 400 g

5/100 × x = 400

x = 400 × 100 / 5

x = 400 × 20

x = 8000 g

x = 8 kg

Hence, 8 kg ore is required to obtain 400 g of copper.

Thanks dear. Hope that helps you...
