for copper we use Bayer process for extracting copper from the ore

when treated with hcl,if the ore gives effervescence, then it is a carbonate ore....
and extraction of this metal from enriched ore is done by CALCINATION process...in absence of oxygen.
eg. ZnCO3+hcl➡️zncl2 + h2o + co2(effer.)
for extraction
ZnCo3---->Zno + co2(by calcination)
