An organic compound (A) having molecular formula C2H7N on reaction
with chloroform and alc.KOH gives an offensive compound. Identify
(A).

Answer: The compound is primary amine i.e. C2H5NH2 .

Explanation:

ONLY Primary amines give carbylamine test ( chloroform + alc.KOH ) giving foul smelling isocyanide .
