The organic compound A is ethanol with chemical formula CH3CH2-OH, which is an important constituent of wine and beer.
On oxidation, it yields ethanoic acid (acetic acid) i.e. CH3COOH, which is present in vinegar.
Ester is formed when an alcohol and an acid reacts with each in presence of acid.
Here, in this case, ethyl ethanoate will form.
C2H5OH + CH3COOH ----->  CH3COOC2H5+ H2O
