SOLUTION :

Given that the compound contains 0.032% of sulphur by mass.

Let the molecular mass of compound be 'X'.

 Atomic mass of sulphur- 32g

atomic mass of 2 sulphur atoms= (32*2)g

since 0.032 % sulphur is present in the given compound,

percentage of sulphur * total molecular weight of compound = weight of                                                                                           sulphur in compound.

 0.032 % of X = 32*2

 (0.032 / 100) * X = 64

X = (64 * 100)/ 0.032

X = 2 * 10^5 g

Ans:- The molecular weight of the compound is 2 * 10^5 g

Explanation:

Given that the compound contains 0.032% of sulphur by mass.

Let the molecular mass of compound be 'Y'.

 Atomic mass of sulphur- 32g

atomic mass of 2 sulphur atoms= (32*2)g

since 0.032 % sulphur is present in the given compound,

percentage of sulphur * total molecular weight of compound = weight of                                                                                           sulphur in compound.

 0.032 % of Y = 32*2

 (0.032 / 100) * Y = 64

Y = (64 * 100)/ 0.032

Y = 2 * 10^5 g

Ans:- The molecular weight of the compound is 2 * 10^5 g.
