Answer:

He was the funniest boy I had ever met. He would make everyone laugh. No one knew where he came from or what his actual name was. But, everyone in our housing board colony enjoyed his company. He could even cheer up the most upset person with his antics. He was about 10 years old and fondly called Lalu or Lalu Bhai by those who knew him.

One day, one of the aunties in our neighborhood was having a tough time trying to stop her three and a half year old son from crying. No one else in the family was successful as well. Finally, someone suggested taking him to the park and calling Lalu there. Everyone agreed and mother and son went to the park. While they were there, they saw Lalu looking at the balloon seller’s balloons just outside the park. The mother called him over and asked him if he could do something to stop the boy from crying. Lalu immediately did a few somersaults and pretended to fall off the slide while climbing on it from the slippery side. The little boy was so amused that he started laughing. The relieved mother immediately thanked Lalu and bought him a few balloons that he had longed for. He smiled at her and gave a smart little bow before he left the place.

On another occasion, he challenged another boy in the neighborhood that he would make excellent noodles. Unfortunately, the noodles got burnt and it was not possible to eat it. However, this did not upset him and Lalu told the boy that he had actually made chocolate noodles. Both of them had a good laugh at this comment.
