Let the weight of copper be 'x'. Then the weight of gold will be '12x'

x + 12x = 96

13x = 96

x = 96/13

x = 7.38g

So the weight of copper is 7.38 g

Then, the weight of gold will be 12x = 12 * 7.38 = 88.61g
