Correct Question

An over head water tanker is the shape of cylinder has capacity of 616 litres the diameter of the tanker is 14cm what is its height ?

To find

Height of the water tank

Solution

According to the given condition

Water tank is in the shape of cylinder

Diameter of tanker = 14cm

Radius of tanker = 14/2 = 7cm

Capacity of tanker = 616liters

1liter = 1000cm³

Volume of tanker = 616000cm³

Applying formula → Volume of cylinder

=> πr²h = 616000

=> 22/7 × 7 × 7× h = 616000

=> 22 × 7 × h = 616000

=> 154h = 616000

=> h = 616000/154 = 4000cm

1meter = 100centimeter

Height = 4000/100 = 40m

Hence, height of tanker = 40m

Note

  • 1m³ = 1000liter
  • 1cm³ = 1000ml
  • 1000cm³ = 1liter
  • 1km = 1000m
  • 1mm = 1000m

\large\underline{Correct\: Question:-}

Ques :-An over head water tanker is the shape of cylinder has capacity of 616 litres the diameter of the tanker is 14cm what is its Height ?

\huge\underline\mathrm{GivEn:-}

capacity of cylindrical tanker = 616 litres

diameter of the tanker = 14 cm

Radius = \frac{diameter }{2}

\longrightarrow\large{\sf {\frac{14}{2}}} = 7 cm

\huge\underline\mathrm{Need\:to\:find:-}

What is its height = ?

\huge\underline\mathrm{SoLuTion:-}

Let the height of the cylindrical tanker be 'h' cm.

According to question :-

1 Litre => 1000cm³

616 Litre=> 616000cm³

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

\longrightarrow 616000 = \large{\sf {\frac{22}{7}}} x (7)² x h

\longrightarrow616000 = 22 x 7 x h

\longrightarrow h = \large{\sf {\frac{616000}{22 x 7}}}

\longrightarrow h = 4000cm

1 metre = 100 cm

\longrightarrow \large{\sf {\frac{4000}{100}}}

\huge{\boxed{\bf{height = 40 m}}}

Thus, the height of the cylimdrical tanker is 40 m
