\large\large{\sf{\purple{\boxed{\boxed{\pink{ANSWER}}}}}}

→20% oxygen in the oxide

∴ 20 grams of oxygen in 100 grams of oxide

∴ mass of metal = 100-20

=80grams.

\dfrac{metal:\mass}{oxygen:\mass}:\=\dfrac{eq.:\ mass:\of:\metal}{equi.:\mass:\of:\oxygen}

80/20 = E /8

E = 32 g

so , equivalent weight of oxide

=32+16

=48g
