this generally occurs in the case of erythroblastosis foetalis

In the first pregnancy the blood of mother and child is separated by placenta.

But at the time of first delivery(parturation) there are chances of mixing of rh+ve blood of foetus and RH-ve blood of mother.

Hence after 1st perturation mother starts preparing antibodies against RH-ve blood .

In subsequent pregnancies mother blood can leak into the blood of foetus,results in clumping.

So Chances of Death are more for 2nd child and Further Not first Generally.
