An umbrella has 8 ribs which are equally spaced. Assuming umbrella to be flat circle of diameter 28 cm, find the area between the two consecutive ribs of the umbrella.

8 ribs equally spaced
So each angle = 360 / 8

Area between each rib
= 1/8 x 22/7 x 14 x 14
= 11 x 7 = 77 sq cm
