SOLUTION

Firstly, we find the area of one triangular piece.

Here, a= b= 50cm & c= 20cm

Therefore,

$= > s = \frac{a + b + c}{2} \\ \\ = > \frac{50 + 50 + 20}{2} \\ \\ = > \frac{120}{2} = 60m$

So, Area of one triangular piece,

$= > \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)} \\ \\ = > \sqrt{60(60 - 50)(60 - 50)(60 - 20)} {cm}^{2} \\ \\ = > \sqrt{60 \times 10 \times 10 \times 40} {cm}^{2} \\ \\ = > 200 \sqrt{6} {cm}^{2}$

Now,

Area of 10 such triangular pieces

=) 10× 200√6cm^2

=) 2000√6 cm^2

Hence,

cloth required for each colour

$= > \frac{2000 \sqrt{6} }{2} {cm}^{2} \\ \\ = > 1000 \sqrt{6} {cm}^{2}$
