The following are the three main features of consumer movement in India:
1.It is a voluntary and collective movement initiated by the consumers. Group of active consumers came together to form an association and fight for consumer safety and protection.
2.Consumer movement has improved the strength and Unity of consumers against dishonest manufacturers and sellers. It gives the rights to consumers such as right to choose, right to safety, right to be informed, e.t.c.
3.The consumer movement prevents the adoption of unethical practices such a hoarding, black marketing, adulteration, underweight ,e.t.c
