Inhaled air contains aprox 21% of oxygen , 0.04% CO2 , 79%nitrogen and exhaled air contains 16% Oxygen
4% CO2 and 79% nitrogen . We use only 70% of lung capacity. So rest of 5%of oxygen is released in exhalation. and due cellular respiration CO2 concentration increases . and nitrogen levels remain constant
