Analyse the following sentence:-

1.) \:  David \:  \:  \red{ is  \:  \: painting} \:  \:  a \:  \:  doll.

2.)  \: Ashish \:  \red{ is  \:  \: arriving}  \:  \: tonight.

3.) Roopan  \:  \red{is \:  \:  leading } \:  \: the  \:  \: team.</p><p></p><p>

4.) The \:  \:  students \:  \:  \red{ are  \:  \: enjoying} the  \:  \: picnic.

1.) \:  David \:  \:  \red{ is  \:  \: painting} \:  \:  a \:  \:  doll.

In this sentence, A person is introduced named David and he is painting a doll. Painting- applying paint, color or other medium to a solid such as canvas or paper. It is a type of artwork.

This is an Imperative sentence.

David is painting means it is in present continuous tense.

He is painting now means in the present, he is painting a doll.

2.)  \: Ashish \:  \red{ is  \:  \: arriving}  \:  \: tonight.

In this sentence, A person is introduces named Ashish. He is arriving tonight. It is a Declarative sentence. Declaring that Ashish is going to come tonight. This sentence is in Future continuous tense, because Ashish is going to come means he has not came yet. and He is arriving tonight means Today he is coming.

May be he is travelling with car, train aeroplane or any transport but he is arriving tonight.

3.) Roopan  \:  \red{is \:  \:  leading } \:  \: the  \:  \: team.</p><p>

In this sentence, A person is introduced named Roopan. He is leading the team means He is the captain of the team. This sentence is Imperative sentence. This sentence is in present continuous tense. He is leading means He will order everyone (all the team members).

Team can have (2 or more members).

4.) The \:  \:  students \:  \:  \red{ are  \:  \: enjoying} the  \:  \: picnic.

In this sentence, There are so many students and they are on a picnic and someone is saying that all the students are enjoying their picnic means they are having fun. This is an Imperative sentence. this sentence is in present continuous tense.

here, students(plural) are used means there are so many students.
