The aim of the national movement under Indian National Congress was to achieve a secular and democratic country which would be independent.

This was aimed at bringing in broader social and economical transformation in the country. But there were remote places where people started their own movement for getting justice and realization of human rights.

These movements passed as a legacy in post independent India which actually resulted in achieving most of the economical and social transformation.
