• The theory of cognitive processing of information examines the role of the three phase of memory in collecting information (sensory, short, and long-term) and transferring it to the store, then recall in memory.. Sensory memory allows students to organize information or groups or patterns within their environment, to recognize them, and then to process them. Short memory enables learners to keep small quantities of information and understand it.
