Analyse the reasons for the dominance of congress party ?

As a result of prevailing nationalism, Gandhi's popularity, and the party's attempts at eradicating caste differences, untouchability, poverty, and religious and ethnic divisions, Congress became a forceful and dominant group.

Reasons :

A- it had inherited the legacy of national movement
B- the Party had nehru ( silent dictator ) the so called popular and charismatic leader
C- the congress was the only party to have organisation spread all over the country .

D - congress was all inclusive a social and ideological coalition
