The relation between rituals and secular goals :

Secular goals a process of decline in the influence of religion. The advent of rural attitude has changed to religion and to the celebration of festivals. As a result of growing urban areas and lifestyles,  the celebration of festivals and following all the rituals have become a necessary part of one's identify.

While rituals also provide men and women with an occasion to interact with their peers and showing family wealth. It's all apart from one's identity which is the status, political and economic dimension of rituals has become increasingly important.
