Ashoka did the following measures to spread Buddhism:

1. He sent Buddhist missionaries in all directions of Asia.

2. He repaired old shrines, stupas and also made new ones. Ex -Sanchi Stupa in MP, etc.

3. He led pilgrimages to all the Buddhist sacred places.

4. He was greatly influenced by ideas of Lord Buddha. Buddha's ideas made him a non - violence follower.

4. He even gave the duty of spreading Buddhism to his kids Mahendra and Sanghamitra.
