The Kerala flood occurred due to the frequent cutting of trees which gave rise to landslides in many parts of Kerala. Due to landslides the water holding capacity of the land became low and the water which the soil holder began to lose up and accumulation of water took place in the low lying areas. And as the rain came down with water the water levels rised. As in Kerala the rainfall is very high the water accumulated at a higher rate and all the water flowing vents chocked up there was and flood type situation which is also known as disaster.
